The Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute (ISCI) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is a fully functional research and translational stem cell program conducting basic pre-clinical and early stage clinical investigation of a variety of stem cell and regenerative approaches for a host of currently chronically incurable diseases.

ISCI facilities include a Cell Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Lab accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), an FDA regulatory unit, basic science laboratories and a clinical trials unit. To date, the ISCI scientists have enrolled more than 100 patients in cardiac and wound stem cell clinical trials and are planning new investigator initiated trials in multiple disease areas.
